W.V. Annual Communication Committee meeting Friday, February 10, 2012; volunteers needed

Brethren,

The Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge of West Virginia will be held in Charleston, WV, this year. It will be on Monday, October 8 and Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at the Charleston Masonic Temple, 107 Hale Street, Charleston, WV. The Annual Communication Committee will meet Friday, February 10, 2012, in the fourth floor small dining hall of the Charleston Masonic Temple at 6:00 p.m.

As Chairman of the Annual Communication Committee I am asking for volunteers to assist in this effort. We need cooks, bakers, drivers, registration people, servers in the dining hall, kitchen and dining hall clean up personnel and other personnel for various tasks. As District Deputy Grand Master for the Ninth Masonic District this year I have been talking about this at some of my visits. It would be nice to make this a District effort with volunteers from all of the twelve lodges in the District.

If you would like to assist in this effort or have any questions please contact me as soon as possible by one of the following means:

So far the members of the Committee include Charles Louk, G. M., ex-officio and Gearl Raynes, D.G.M., ex-officio, Worshipful Masters of Summersville Lodge #76 (William Groves), Kanawha Lodge #20 (James Pitrolo) and Charleston Lodge #153 (Keith Carte). Other members so far include Wayne Scott (126), Jim Porter (20), Karl Kelly (168), Steve Forsythe (20), Bruce White (153), Dennis Watson (159) and others that may have slipped my mind. Brother Tom Black and his “Chef’s Club” has informed me that his crew will cook for us.

I would ask the Secretarys of each of the twelve lodges read this letter in their lodge meetings until Grand Lodge.

Fraternally, Vaughn F. Shafer, Chairman
