MASONIC HOME – Did you know that the Regulations have been changed whereby an applicant is not required to give up all his lifetime assets to be admitted to the Home? Yes, the following members of our Masonic Family may now come into the Home on a “pay as you go” basis. (1) A Master Mason and his wife. (2) The widow or child of a deceased Master Mason. (3) The daughter, sister, or mother of a Master Mason. Note: Those of sufficient financial assets may be required to pay a one time entrance fee. Interested Brethren may secure entrance forms from Box 869, Parkersburg, WV 26101. Thank you MW Paul Cottrell, PGM, for providing this update.
PENNY A DAY
Brethren PLEASE SUPPORT your only approved Charity. It is the West Virginia Masonic Memorial Fund. It is supported by your giving through the Penny A Day program and your other gifts and Bequeaths . Give by placing donations with your Lodge Secretary, dropping money in the donation jars in your lodge, sending it directly to the HOME or the Grand Secretary also by remembering the Home in your Will. We appreciate what you have already done and hope you will continue or even do better this year. Bill F. Gardner, PGM

We will need help in conferring the Orders and I ask each of you to set apart this time and join us for the inspection. We plan to start at 9:00 AM with the conferral of the Order of Red Cross in full form. This will be followed by the Order of Malta also in full form. After lunch, we will confer the Order of the Temple on several candidates that have already been elected. If you have a candidate for the Orders, bring him along and we will add him to the class.
We plan to practice for the Inspection on Friday, November 2nd and 9th at 6:00 PM at the Masonic Temple on Hale street and I hope that we can get several Sir knights other than the officers so that we can practice marching and the escorts.
Parking on Saturday can be in the Parking garage one block east of the temple (on the street coming off the South Side bridge). They do not have an attendant on Saturday and it’s usually free.
I appreciate your help.
