MASONIC HOME – Did you know that the Regulations have been changed whereby an applicant is not required to give up all his lifetime assets to be admitted to the Home? Yes, the following members of our Masonic Family may now come into the Home on a “pay as you go” basis. (1) A Master Mason and his wife. (2) The widow or child of a deceased Master Mason. (3) The daughter, sister, or mother of a Master Mason. Note: Those of sufficient financial assets may be required to pay a one time entrance fee. Weston Masonic Lodge No. 10 AF & AM, will be putting on a Third Degree on March 18th, 2013. This is a very big thing for our lodge, as the Candidate is the son of our oldest serving Past Master, Homer H. Benedum. This Stated Communication will be preceded by fellowship in the dinning hall at 5:30 pm, and a traditional Masonic Dinner at 6;00 pm. It will consist of Baked Steak, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Salad, Hot Rolls, Drinks, and Desert. Lodge will be at 7:00 PM. 3/23/13, RAM SCHOOL OF INSTRUCTION, DAYS INN, FLATWOODS, WV, BREAKFAST & LUNCH AVAILABLE, DUTCH TREAT 9AM – FINISHED.
A Royal Arch School of Instruction will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Days Inn Convention Center in Flatwoods WV. The School will begin with coffee and donuts at 8:30AM with Degree Work to start at 9:00AM.  All Chapter Degrees will be exemplified, also opening a Royal Arch Chapter, receiving and balloting on Petitions.  Lunch will be served at Days Inn. All Royal Arch Masons are invited to attend.  ROYAL ARCH SCHOOL OF INSTRUCTION – FLATWOODS, WV  Companions, everyone will be on their own (dutch treat) at the School. Laws and Regulations of the Grand Chapter Royal Arch Masons of West Virginia
Article XX.6

The High Priest, King and Scribe of each subordinate Chapter within this Grand Jurisdiction shall be required to attend a School of Instruction each year during their term of office as High Priest, King and Scribe, The Grand Lecturer shall monitor each Chapter, and report to the Most Excellent Grand High Priest those Chapters not in compliance. Those, not in compliance will be instructed by the Grand High Priest to attend the next available school. Those not complying with the Grand High Priest directive shall be in violation of this law.

A Royal Arch Festival will be held in Montgomery Chapter No. 47, RAM on Saturday, April 13, 2013 with coffee and donuts at 8:30AM and Degree work starting at 9:00AM. Jackson, Preeminent Governor, asked that the announcement of the annual assembly May 9, 2013 at Fort Henry be amended as follows: Fort Henry York Rite College 61, Annual Assembly, 1pm, May 11, 2013 at Scottish Rite Building, Wheeling.  ACTIVITIES include conferral of Knight of York degree on one candidate and election/installation of officers.  and – there will be a cold cut platter  at noon – cost $5 per member.  The Governor would appreciate your reservation to ensure enough food is available for C.K. Don Showalter to prepare the table. You can place a reservation through the Secretary. No activity is planned for ladies. Proper attire is tux, if available, or dark business suit.
