MASONIC HOME – Did you know that the Regulations have been changed whereby an applicant is not required to give up all his lifetime assets to be admitted to the Home? Yes, the following members of our Masonic Family may now come into the Home on a “pay as you go” basis. (1) A Master Mason and his wife. (2) The widow or child of a deceased Master Mason. (3) The daughter, sister, or mother of a Master Mason. Note: Those of sufficient financial assets may be required to pay a one time entrance fee. Interested Brethren may secure entrance forms from Box 869, Parkersburg, WV 26101. Thank you MW Paul Cottrell, PGM, for providing this update.

It is supported by your giving through the Penny A Day program and your other gifts and Bequeaths . Give by placing donations with your Lodge Secretary, dropping money in the donation jars in your lodge, sending it directly to the HOME or the Grand Secretary also by remembering the Home in your Will. Morgantown Union Lodge #4 will raise Bro. Tyler Justin Friend to the sublime degree of Master Mason Wednesday, July 30, 2014 (Memorial Masonic Temple,Windsor & Burroughs Sts). Dinner served at 6:00, Lodge at 7:00. All Master Masons are invited. As always, any help is greatly appreciated!

Please pass the word that Littleton Lodge #131 will hold their annual Past Masters Night on Saturday, August 9th beginning with an old fashion Pig Roast at 6:00 PM. Following the dinner, Lodge will convene at approximately 7:00. There is no work planned.  All Master Masons are welcomed to attend.

Ok Brethren – the previous email had the wrong date. The correct date for the summer picnic is Sunday, AUG. 10 from 1pm to 5pm. Jim and I will be providing the meat (steaks), soft drinks, water, plates, utensils, cups, and napkins. We ask that you bring a side dish and whatever beverage you would like if you prefer something other than soft drinks or water. Cost is $20 per couple. Street to the other vendors.  You will have time to visit the Bird N Hand

Market along with all the shops surrounding the market, as well as the

4:30pm                 Dinner at Miller’s Smorgasbord

5:45pm                 Depart for the Millennium Theater

6:30pm                 Performance “Moses”

8:45pm                 Approximate departure from the Theater

11:30pm               Approximate arrival back in Hagerstown

Cost is $125.00 per person and includes round trip motor coach transportation, meal at

Millers Smorgasbord, and Performance of “Moses”.  Gratuities included IF all seats sold

The Scottish Rite Club in the Valley will meet Thursday evening July 31, 2014 at Putnam Lodge 139 in Hurricane. Dinner will start at 6 PM, the menu includes Fish, Chicken and Turkey. Wives are welcome to attend.

CHAPTER

Tyrian Chapter, Charleston will hold a Festival on Saturday August 16th to confer all of the Chapter Degrees. We plan to have coffee and donuts at 8:30 AM and Chapter will open about 8:45 AM to receive and ballot on any petitions. Work in the Mark Master Degree will begin at 9:00 AM. Lunch will be served.  We plan to be finished by 4:00 PM.  We will need a lot of help in conferring these degrees but I believe that we must confer the work to build interest in the Chapter. If you plan to come and would like to confer a particular Degree or have a particular part, please let me know and I will try to arrange it. Courtesy candidates are welcome.

Montgomery Chapter No. 47, RAM will host a Royal Arch Festival in the Lodge Room at Montgomery on Saturday, September 13, 2014 with coffee and donuts at 8:30AM and Degree Work staring at 9:00AM.  All Chapter Degrees will be Conferred and we invite any Candidates you may have to come and receive the Degree Work.
