MASONIC HOME – Did you know that the Regulations have been changed whereby an applicant is not required to give up all his lifetime assets to be admitted to the Home? Yes, the following members of our Masonic Family may now come into the Home on a “pay as you go” basis. (1) A Master Mason and his wife. (2) The widow or child of a deceased Master Mason. (3) The daughter, sister, or mother of a Master Mason. Note: Those of sufficient financial assets may be required to pay a one time entrance fee. Interested Brethren may secure entrance forms from Box 869, Parkersburg, WV 26101. Thank you MW Paul Cottrell, PGM, for providing this update.

Friendship Lodge #56 in West Union will have a special communication on Saturday, January 12, 2013 to Raise one candidate to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason.  A Chili dinner will be at 6:00 PM and Lodge will start at 7:00 PM.  All Master Masons are urged to attend and enjoy the fun and fellowship.  NOTE:  Richard Kelly usually cooks the chili and it will be offered as mild or – OMG it’s hot.  His Dad, Bernard, is kind enough to cook delicious potato soup for wimps like me.  Caution, keep your eyes on Tim Travis – somehow a bowl of chili got mysteriously substituted.

Aurora Lodge #43, Newburg, WV  will have a regular meeting on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 7:30pm.  Worshipful Brother R J Aronhalt, PM  will receive his 50 year service award pin.  The meeting will be preceded by dinner at 6:15pm.  Please make your reservations by Friday, January 25, 2013.  I am pleased to collect reservations and pass them on to our WM Jeff Richardson.  Please provide your name, lodge number and the number of attendees you anticipate traveling with you.  You may place a reservation by email or telephone with Phil (see bottom of email).  Thanks.  RJ is hoping to fill the building so please come and spend his money.

A Stated Meeting of Claysville Lodge No. 447, Free and Accepted Mason’s, will be held in Masonic Hall, Main Street, Claysville, PA. on  TUESDAY EVENING, January  15, 2013 at 7:30 o’clock PM.  The Entered Apprentice  Mason Degree will be conferred upon one candidate, and The Fellowcraft Mason Degree will be conferred upon one candidate..

Please let everyone know that Most Excellent Ira Jerry Earls has set work in all six degrees for Huntington Chapter No. 6, R.A.M. on SATURDAY, JANUARY 19, 2013 beginning at 8:00 a.m. Lunch will be served at approximately noon and we should complete the work by around 3:00 p.m. Any assistance will be welcomed, although our own members will be taking a larger part than in the past. We will also be glad to perform courtesy work upon written request.
For anyone that has not visited our chapter previously, the work will take place in the Lodge Room, Sixth Floor, Huntington Masonic Temple, 1104 Third Avenue in Huntington. We do have elevator service.
