MASONIC HOME – Did you know that the  Regulations have been changed whereby an applicant is not required to give up  all his lifetime assets to be admitted to the Home? Yes, the following  members of our Masonic Family may now come into the Home on a “pay as you go”  basis. (1) A Master Mason and his wife. (2) The widow or child of a  deceased Master Mason. (3) The daughter, sister, or mother of a  Master Mason. Note: Those of sufficient financial assets may  be required to pay a one time entrance fee. Interested Brethren may secure entrance forms from  Box 869, Parkersburg, WV 26101. Thank you MW Paul Cottrell, PGM, for providing this update.

There will be a special communication of Friendship Lodge #56 in West Union on Saturday March 12, 2011. There will be work in the EA Degree and MM Degree.  Lodge will start at 4:00 PM when the EA Degree will be conferred on one candidate, we will break for dinner and then confer the MM Degree on two candidates.  All Master Masons are urged to attend.

To All Masonic Brethern and Especially Law Enforcement Masonic Brethren
King Solomon’s Lodge No. 346 in Connellsville, PA, will be having a Law Enforcement recognition night on Tuesday April 5. The meeting is at 7:30. They will serve dinner starting at 6:00 and continuing to serve until 7:00. Don’t know how “elaborate” it will be but all are welcome to eat.
All Law Enforcement officers attending are ask to wear their dress uniform without firearms and hats. The Lodge has been given this permission by the RWGM. I am planning on attending this event. If you would like to meet up with me let me know.

MARYLAND

The Spaghetti Dinner will be held Saturday, April 9th from 11:30 am to 7:00 pm. All members of the lodge will be receiving six tickets to sell for $7 a piece. If you do not sell these tickets, please return them to the lodge so we can keep an accurate record of our sales. Bro. Wally Frazee has graciously offered head the Spaghetti Dinner this year. We will need volunteers to work the week prior and also during the day of. Please, brothers, we need everyone’s help this year. With the recent purchase of the new furnace for Friendship Lodge, we can not afford to have anything less than a great dinner. Please let Bro. Frazee know if you are willing to work that day or if you can make phone calls to solicit help.

The State-Wide Open House is scheduled for Saturday, April 2nd from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. All Brothers will be asked to attend and volunteer four hours of the day to help promote Freemasonry. We will be working in two shifts: 10 am to 2 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm.

March 26, 2011 – Golden Triangle York Rite College #32, Pittsburgh will welcome the Companion Knights from West Virginia Colleges Fort Henry YRC 61 (Wheeling), Charles W Wise 137 (Huntington), Martinsburg YRC 175 and Ohio Fort Steuben College 194 (Steubenville).  Golden Triangle 32 (PA) is the mother College of YRC 61, which in turn is the mother College of YRC 137 and YRC 194.  This visit will be monumental because it will be the first visit in – perhaps – 30 years.  Any College member wanting to attend should contact Preeminent Governor (#61) Charlie Witt candbwitt@comcast.net or Secretary (#61) Harold Phillips PHIL1434@AOL.COM

I believe the schedule is the MEM at 9, followed by the RA (which should give people time to come out from the Baltimore-Washington area), then lunch and the Council degrees.
