5th Annual 15th Masonic District Golf Outing

The Fifth Annual 15th Masonic District Golf Outing will be held at Locust Hill Golf Course, Charles Town, WV on Saturday, September 14th beginning with a shotgun start at 2:00 P.M. with a picnic at the course pavilion beginning at approximately 6:00 o’clock. We will again be using a scramble format to enable all to participate. Each team must have at least two Master Masons.  The cost will be $60 per golfer and includes golf, cart, range balls, buffet, and prizes. If you would like to play but do not have a team, please let me know as early as possible and we will see if we can place you with a team.

As was the case last year, family members and brethren who do not wish to play golf are encouraged to attend the picnic/buffet. For those attending the picnic only, the cost will be $10.50 per person. Please fill out the enclosed form and return to me with payment not later than September 9th. Also, I must know how many additional persons will be attending the dinner by that date.  Any lodge or individual who wishes to donate a door prize will be welcome to do so. I believe that those who have attended the last tournaments have thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I hope you can join us for a great day of fun, food, and fellowship.

Fraternally,

VIRGINIA

Winchester Hiram Lodge # 21 will be having a special Saturday Master Mason’s degree on August 24.  I have received many requests from friends who would like to come see us do the Master Mason’s degree in costume other than on a weeknight. We will open with the officers in white dinner jackets and will proceed with the degree after the candidates return their Fellowcraft catechisms. There will be two candidates.  After we close there will be a lunch served in the banquet room free of charge. We will start with donuts and coffee at 8:30 and open at 9:00. Please make an extra effort to come out for this event to support our candidates and help show off our beautiful lodge to visitors from out of town
UPDATE
Winchester Hiram Lodge #21 has a Master Mason degree set up for 9:00am on Saturday August 24th for two worthy brothers of Winchester Hiram Lodge and one brother from Treadwell Lodge #213.  The degree, being on a Saturday, provides an opportunity for you to visit the lodge and observe the Master Mason’s degree conferred in costume, when attending lodge and degree work at our normal meeting hour would not be possible due to time restraints and other commitments you might have,

The morning will commence with coffee and donuts 8:30am to 9am. At 9:00am a Master Mason’s lodge will be opened. then we will call off and open a lodge on the 2nd degree of Masonry for the examination of two candidates’ catechism proficiency.  Once finished, the lodge on the 2nd degree will be closed, and the Master Mason’s lodge will resume labor for the conferral of the degree.  The three candidates will receive the first section of the degree together, but will be separated for  the 2nd section.  Lunch will be provided by your amazing Stewards Committee –

All Master Mason’s are invited  to attend.
As a reminder, we need to know how many people will be coming to lunch. The deadline was Sunday night but I am extending it until Monday preferably by noon if possible. This includes Hiram people. So far I have not heard from anyone from Hiram who is going Saturday. Also, I am dropping the idea of wearing white jackets on Saturday.  Les
