Frank J. Haas
The above picture of Frank Joseph Haas has been hung in Lodge St. John in their lodge room in Scotland. Look closely at the picture on the right, none other than the Queen of England. Note that her frame is gilded gold, fitting for the queen. He’s in good company, don’t you think? Frank recently led another group to Scotland. Just last week I saw on the History Channel a special on Roslyn Chapel, Scotland, long suspected as the location of the Holy Grail. The chapel is unbelievably beautiful in it’s historic preservation. Frank took Bill Mushet, Gary Donaldson, Bill Criado, Bill Wyndham and me on a tour of Scotland and England. Criado took movies, Gary walked in the Firth of the Fourth (or something like that), Mushet taught me how to drive on the wrong side of the road, Wyndham decided that pedestrians didn’t belong on the sidewalk and Donaldson (aka “Brawny Lad”) taught us how to clean our plate at Jennie’s house, and I made friends with a “mime” in the “square” in York, England. Wonderful memories.
