Robert E. Huneycutt, Jr. 66, of St. Albans passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston.
Born November 15, 1946 in Richmond, VA, Robert was a son of the late Robert Erwin and Helen Vivian Soles Huneycutt, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Donald J. Larch.
He was a retired communication specialist with 36 years of service with the United States Department of Justice, Washington DC office. He attended Grace Baptist Temple, St. Albans and Sovereign Grace Baptist in Virginia. He was a member of the Alexandria-Washington Masonic Lodge #22 A.F. & A.M., Alexandria, Virginia and attended Kanawha Masonic Lodge # 20, Charleston, WV. He was also a member of the Beni Kedem Shrine Temple, Charleston and the Grand Lodge of Virginia and the Scottish Rite Bodies, Alexandria, VA as well as the Order of DeMolay, American Radio League and React International.
He is survived by his wife, Dreama D. Larch Huneycutt; stepdaughters, Heather Adkins (Kerry Carlson) and Lori Newhouse (Thomas Fitzgerald) all of St. Albans; mother-in-law, Garnet Larch of St. Albans; cousins, Herb and Tom Soles both of Virginia; grandchildren, Sierra Adkins, Michelle Adkins, Landon Mains, Kaylei Fitzgerald.
Funeral service will be held at 11 am Friday, September 20, 2013 at Grace Baptist Temple, St. Albans with Pastor Brian Dean and Pastor David Pence officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston.
Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 pm Thursday at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, 409 Sixth Avenue, St. Albans.
