Death of Pastor Jerry Lee Trautwein

PASTOR JERRY LEE TRAUTWEIN, 65, of Wayne went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 5, 2012, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2012 at the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne with Pastor James Parsons officiating. Burial will follow at Community Memorial Gardens, Wayne with the Masonic Lodge conducting gravesite rites. Jerry was born on December 15, 1946, in Huntington, W.Va., to the late C.W. Trautwein and Reba Riggs Trautwein. Jerry was a retired master electrician for Inco Alloys and Riedel Wilks, was a Baptist pastor of Upper Gragston Baptist Church, a member of the Wayne 18 AF&AM Lodge and the Knights Templar in Huntington, and was also a Civil War re-enactor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by granddaughter Jessica Sowards and two brothers, Glen and Kent Trautwein. Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years Anita Pasley Trautwein; three daughters, Reba Carol Trautwein Price (J.L.) of Palm Harbor, Florida; Susie Trautwein Sowards (Jerry) of Wayne, Jennifer Trautwein White (Seth) of Huntington; son Danial Trautwein (Nancy) of Wayne; sister-in-law Della C. Trautwein of Bradenton, Florida and brother Joe Trautwein (Bonnie) of Wayne. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Chris Trautwein, Jerry Len Sowards, Alexandria McClure, Jaclyn Price, Greenway and Vivian White and Danial Trautwein, one great-grandchild Katie Frye Trautwein and special friend Roy Brown. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations be made to the Upper Gragston Baptist Church. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne.
