Death of Michael Douglas Wade

Michael Douglas Wade, 55, of Hurricane, passed away Jan. 24, 2014, of a sudden heart attack.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Cox-Wade, and brother, Richard Wade.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Sandy Whitt-Wade. They were married Feb. 3, 1989.

Mike is lovingly remembered by his wife, Sandy of Scott Depot; father, Dick Wade of Hurricane; son, Ryan Wade of Culloden; daughters, Heaven Wade of Scott Depot and Trisha White of Culloden; stepdaughter, Robin Falbo of Hurricane; grandchildren, Kaianna Wade of Scott Depot, Joshua, Kaitlyn and Adrianna Falbo of Hurricane and Kaleb Tanne and Colton Simmons of Culloden; sisters, Dee-Dee and Shelia Wade of Hurricane; and brother, Scott Wade of Scott Depot.

Mike was born March 25, 1958, in South Charleston. He graduated from HHS in 1976. After graduating, he became an iron worker. He was a member of Charleston Iron Workers Local 301 for 37 years.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Allen Funeral Home, Hurricane. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park, Beckley (with Masonic Rites).

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, at Allen Funeral Home.
