James Austin Ingram, 75, of Cross Lanes, passed away suddenly Thursday morning at the CAMC-Hospital. He was born May 2, 1938 in Charleston, the son of the late Kenna A. and Juanita Waugh Ingram.
Jim was a retired Union Carbide master technician. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a Marine Corps Veteran and served his fellow veterans by transporting them to the veterans hospital. Jim was very active in the Marine Corps League Detachment No. 947.
Survivors include his son, Tod Ingram of Cross Lanes; daughter Tamala and her husband, Ralph Mikida of Lansdale, Pa; five grandchildren, Rachel Mikida, Mark Mikida, Andrew Mikida, Danielle and her husband, Wesley Westfall and Courtney Ingram; brother, Gary Ingram and wife, Debbie of Charleston.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 56 years, Tandra Gae Ingram in Feb. of 2014; and sister, Janet Atkinson; and brother-in-law, Keith Atkinson.
Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 27 at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, Cross Lanes with the Reverend Todd Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens with graveside military honors by the Marine Corps League. Friends will be received at the funeral home Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m.
