Death of Harry M. Mackey

I wanted to let you know that W. Harry M. Mackey, DGL, died at 4:00 A.M. today, June 26th. He will have a Masonic funeral; but arrangements are incomplete.  The funeral will be at Clifton Presbyterian Church probably Tuesday or Wednesday.  The body is at the Longanacre Funeral Home in Fairlea.  I will send further information as it becomes available.  Would you please get this out to the brethren.  Thanks and shalom!  John Arbuckle

Harry is at Longanacre Funeral Home in Fairlea.
The viewing will be Tuesday June 29 form 6 to 8 PM.
The Funeral will be at Clifton Presbyterian Church in Maxwelton, at 2 PM on June 30 with Masonic graveside rites at the Riverside cemetery in Ronceverte afterwards.
The Grand Lecturer Steven Swank PGM will be doing the Masonic graveside service.

Harry McBride Mackey

RONCEVERTE — Harry McBride Mackey, 72, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010, in the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea, after a short illness.

Born April 26, 1938, in Hinton, W.Va., and was the son of the late Boyd M. and Addie Poteet Mackey.

Mr. Mackey was a lifelong resident of Ronceverte, member of the Baptist faith, U.S. Army veteran, lifelong member of Shryock Lodge #47 A.F. & A.M. which has recently merged with Monroe Lodge #77 A.F. & A.M., Past Potentate of Beni-Kedem Temple, Charleston, and was retired from the Federal Reserve System.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Charles D. Mackey, in 1985.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Hanna Mackey of Ronceverte; two sons, Brian H. Mackey of Orange, Va., and Stephen Mackey and wife, Sherry, of Nashville, Tenn.; and two grandchildren, Leo M. Mackey and Ava Jane Mackey of Nashville, Tenn.

Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at the Clifton Presbyterian Church, Maxwelton, with the Rev. Janice Johnson officiating.

Burial to follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Ronceverte, with Masonic graveside rites conducted by Monroe Lodge #77 A.F. & A.M.

Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at the Longanacre Funeral Home, Fairlea, and at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Charlie Mackey Memorial Park, c/o Clifton Presbyterian Church, PO Box 200, Maxwelton, WV 24957.
