Gary W. Legg, 72, Of Evansville, Indiana, formerly of St. Albans, passed away at River Poi-nte Health Campus in Evansville, Ind., on May 9, 2014 surrounded by loved ones after he lost his 15 year battle to Parkinson’s Disease.
Gary was born Sept. 25, 1941 to parents, the Rev. John E. (Budd) Legg and Frances Kathleen Legg in Charleston.
Gary is preceded in death by daughter, Diana Lynn Legg and parents, John E. (Budd) Legg and Frances Kathleen Legg, formerly of Charleston.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Brenda J. (Hart) Legg; three children, Susan McKinley and husband, John of Columbus, Ohio, David Legg and wife, SamieJo of Oxford, Ala., and Karen Mosteller and husband, Tony of Evansville Ind.; brother, John E. (Jeb) Legg Jr. and wife, Donna of Dunbar; as well as five grandchildren, Alex, Zach, Holly, Carter and Carson.
Gary was a retired electrician of 54 years and a member of IBEW Local No. 466. He was a member and Past Master of Dunbar Masonic Lodge No. 159 in Dunbar.
Service will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with the Rev. Mayford Witt officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 12 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
