Eustace Gorman Kiser Jr., “Crip,” 86, of South Charleston, passed away August 12, 2013, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, after a long illness.
He retired from Union Carbide with 39 years of service and was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Emogene; daughters, Connie L. Atwood (Dave) of Raleigh, N.C., and Linda D. Weir (John) of Charlotte, N.C.; and one sister, Phyllis Hawes of Dunbar.
Gorman was a lifetime resident of Dunbar. He was a 50-plus year member of Dunbar Masonic Lodge No. 159 and a long-time member of the Scottish Rite Temple.
He graduated from Dunbar High School and attended Morris Harvey College, currently known as the University of Charleston.
The family requests donations to Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Kennawa Drive, Charleston, WV 25311, in Gorman’s memory; he would like that.
The family wishes to thank all of the wonderful people who took care of Gorman and cared about the family.
At Gorman’s request, his body will be cremated with no visitation or services. A private memorial service for family and friends will be held at a later date.
