Eldridge M. Casdorph, 93, of Charleston, passed away June 25, 2014 at VAMC Clarksburg.
Mr. Casdorph was a US Navy veteran serving during WWII. He started working at Bonham Dairy at age 13 and returned to work there after serving in the Navy. He retired as a commercial dairy driver from Valley Bell and was a member of Teamsters Local #175.
Mr. Casdorph was a Past Master and member of South Charleston Lodge #168 AF & AM. He was Grand Tiler Emeritus for a number of years and a deputy Grand Lecturer with the Grand Lodge of West Virginia. He was also a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and member of Beni Kedem Shrine, Charleston.
Eldridge was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Jenkins Casdorph; parents, Joe and Ella Casdorph; brothers and sisters, John Price, Joe Casdorph, Jr., Bernodine Castle, William Casdorph, Bobby Casdorph and Ted Casdorph.
Survivors include his loving son, Terry Casdorph and wife, Jeanne of Anchorage, AK; grandchildren, Dr. Michael Casdorph and wife, Laura of Beech Island, SC, and Shani and Gavin Casdorph both of Anchorage, AK; and great-granddaughter, Madison Casdorph of Beech Island, SC. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastors Lonnie Daniels and Danny Pritt officiating. Entombment will follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Military rites will be presented by American Legion Post #61, Clendenin. Masonic graveside rites will also be conducted by the Grand Lodge of West Virginia.
Visitation with the family will be from 6 – 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
