David M. Hull Sr., 79, of Belington, W. Va., formerly of Atlantic Highlands, died Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, at Broaddus Hospital in Philippi, W. Va. He was a retired Asst. Fire Chief at the Military Ocean Terminal, Bayonne for many years. He also worked for Trachel Security, Atlantic Highlands Yacht Harbor Security and assisted at Posten’s Funeral Home, all of Atlantic Highlands. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, Atlantic Highlands. Mr. Hull was a life member, Fire Marshall & Ex-Chief of the Atlantic Highlands Fire Dept. and a member of the Hook & Ladder Co. He also served as a Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 22, and was a coach for the Atlantic Highlands Tigers Pop Warner Football Team. Mr. Hull was also a member of the Masonic Lodge F & AM #52, Philippi, W. Va, the Grand Loyal Arch Mason, Tygarts Valley Chapter #39 and the Scottish Rite #32 in Charleston, W. Va. Born in Long Branch, he resided in Atlantic Highlands before moving to Belington, W. Va. In 2000.
He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia A. Hull in 2002; and his parents, Charles & Myrtle Stryker Hull. Surviving are his sons, David Jr. & Christine Hull of New Martinsville, W. Va., Gordon W & Suzanne Hull of Clinton, Utah, Charles S. & Carol Hull of Atlantic Highlands, Daniel J. Hull of Highlands, and Andrew S. & Donna Hull of Atlantic Highlands; his daughter, Tina Hull of Old Bridge; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
